A Note from Shaye:
RELATIONSHIPS & ADHD
How does it work together? Sometimes it works okay and for others it’s super difficult! And those that are difficult it seems like the ADHD throws a wrench into it.
What are those wrenches?
- Forgetting important dates like birthdays, anniversaries, etc…
- Hard time focusing when having a conversation
- Different styles of organization
- Different communication styles
- Being late all the time or at least a lot
These can cause some real pain in relationships because…
- we feel unheard
- we feel unimportant
See how that could repair a relationship?
What if you could learn to communicate with each other?
BUT
In the ways that each of you need to have the communication in the relationship.
That’s right!
It’s possible.

Shaye helped me to change my life. Instead of making an appointment stressing out about the things that could happen and revert to my habit of anxiety I learned that the unknown is okay. That’s all the anxiety is showing me is that I am nervous about what I don’t know and what I can’t control. It’s okay to be nervous about something and not make it mean it’s going to be something awful. This has made life so much less anxious having the tools to know what I CAN do!
