Laura Lyles Reagan, MS

Laura Lyles Reagan, MS is a family sociologist, youth development researcher, parent and teen communication coach and award-winning author of How to Raise Respectful Parents, which is based on original youth development research titled, "Dynamic Duos."  The title is also available in Spanish, Como Criar Padres Respetuosos . She helps parents and teens move from conflict to connection that lasts a lifetime. She teaches communication skills which help parents co-create solutions to problems and build positive futures together in her coaching practice and parent workshops nationwide.

Laura also serves as the Resource Developer for the South Texas Literacy Coalition.

She helps both parents and teens move from conflict to connection without drama. Unique to her approach is the understanding of the different social locations of parents and teens. Quite simply she helps parents talk in a way that teens hear and listen in a way that teens want to open up. She is a social leader in the conscious parenting movement and uses conscious communication skills to help parents and teens co-create solutions to problems and build positive futures together.

Her interest in social location, justice and equality has spanned a career of service in the nonprofit sector, from youth development to education advocacy and parent educator training to family recovery from addiction program development in Mexico City. She launched two awesome powerful young adult daughters and loves to share their adventures. She kayaks at her favorite beach on South Padre Island, Texas and hikes in the Smoky Mountains as often as she can.
